MICRO SILICA
Micro Silica, also known as Silica Fume, is a by-product of silicon and ferrosilicon alloy production. It is an ultrafine, amorphous form of silicon dioxide (SiO₂), with particles approximately 100 times smaller than cement grains. Our Micro Silica contains 95% pure SiO₂, offering high performance in industrial applications.

Cement and Concrete Industry
In cementitious applications, Micro Silica acts as a pozzolanic material, significantly improving concrete properties:
-
Increased Compressive Strength: Reacts with calcium hydroxide to form additional C-S-H gel, making concrete stronger and denser.
-
Reduced Permeability: Offers superior resistance to water and chemical ingress, making it ideal for dams, bridges, and tunnels.
-
Enhanced Durability: Extends service life in aggressive environments such as marine or sulfate-rich areas.
-
Improved Workability: Helps in producing high-performance and self-compacting concretes.
Refractory Industry
Micro Silica is a key additive in refractory castables, offering several benefits:
-
Improved Strength & Durability: Enhances cold and hot strength, increasing the lifespan of refractory linings.
-
Reduced Permeability: Finer particles fill in pores, resulting in dense, low-porosity structures.
-
Thermal Stability: Enhances resistance to thermal shock and slag attack.
-
High Temperature Performance: Suitable for linings in furnaces, ladles, and tundishes in steel, glass, and non-ferrous metal industries.
